Spreading Tax Payments with HMRC

Spreading Tax Payments with HMRC

Business and individuals are looking to spread their tax payments so we thought a quick blog post might help.

This includes deferred VAT payments due 31 March 2021

The VAT deferral new payment scheme is open up to 21st June 2021.

The new scheme lets you pay your deferred VAT in equal instalments, interest free for up to 11 instalment (up to March 2022)

You can Join the Scheme HERE

You will need your Government Gateway VAT login in order to complete this. If you are a client and need help with your login please contact us.

You might be able to set up a Time to Pay Arrangement with HMRC if you’re unable to pay.

Call the Payment Support Service (PSS) Telephone: 0300 200 3835

You can avoid Penalties for late payment by setting up a Payment Plan. Payment plan can be set up online, or by phone, to spread the cost of your latest Self Assessment bill.

You can pay your Self Assessment, or set-up a payment plan using your Government Gateway Self Assessment Login HERE

Alternatively, you can set these up over the phone through the Payment Helpline: 0300 200 3822

If you need assistance with any of this please do contact us.  Sometimes initial payment plans are rejected and there is usually a technical issue behind that.

If you’ve received a payment demand, like a tax bill or a letter threatening you with legal action, call the HMRC office that sent you the letter to stop that action as soon as possible as well as carrying out the above actions.

HMRC lines are open 8am to 6pm weekdays.
